PHYSICAL THERAPY

Mark Taylor Physical Therapy offers a holistic approach to identify the causes of pain and injury.  Beginning with an initial assessment, the aim is to restore functional movement patterns with thorough assessments, manual therapy treatments, and tailored rehabilitation programmes to allow you to live a pain free life.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Therapeutic massage includes Sports massage, Deep Tissue massage, Swedish Massage and other massage techniques to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It is also an effective tool in injury prevention when used regularly.

INJURY REHABILITATION

What we can do for you

  • Physical Therapy

A physical therapy session will evaluate your condition and develop a care plan that guides your therapy and helps you return to optimum condition.

The aim of physical therapy is to relieve pain, help you move better or strengthen weakened muscles.

  • Sports Massage

Sports Massage helps reduce inflammation and move lactic acid and other waste products out from muscle tissue, allowing for faster recovery and improved performance

Sports massage is commonly used by fitness enthusiasts for a variety of purposes such as injury prevention, recovery from fatigue, relaxation, and increased performance

  • Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a more forceful technique than sports massage that releases tension deep in the muscles and connective tissues

Deep tissue massages break up scar tissue and help relieve muscle adhesions (“knots”). These knots can decrease circulation and cause pain and inflammation

  • Fascial Release

Myofascial release focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the trigger points. This tightness can cause pain throughout the body

During this therapy session, trigger points are worked to help tissue and the associated supportive sheath in releasing pressure and tightness.

  • Joint Mobilisation

Joint mobilization is a specific technique that can help temporarily reduce pain, improve joint function, and increase range of motion around that joint.

During a joint mobilisation session, targeted pressures or forces are applied on a joint in specific directions to help improve the mobility of that joint.

  • Injury Rehabilitation

Injury rehabilitation is used to help minimising the impact from acute injury or chronic disease, to promote recovery, and to improve function, fitness and performance

Injury rehabilitation will aim to craft a plan using exercises and conditioning techniques to maintain health and fitness and helps you recover from injury and reduce pain
